After the most recent release, the ability to enter your own text to see the font matching results does not work once you type in several letters, it appears to be six, then you can’t see your text unless you go into every individual font to look at it, which defeats the purpose of having the summary on the first page App used to be okay. Someone has some work to do.

Before, the app correctly broke the image into lines. Now it groups many lines into the identified sample, which totally confuses the recognizer. Before, one could see the resemblance between the scanned sample, and the matching fonts. Now the differences are notable.

Used this for a while, used to be pretty good but misidentifies fonts now with obvious and egregious differences. Looking for an alternative now.

Would access photos but not allow to function after no click would freeze on iPhone 16 pro max

Snapped an elegant but simple serif font to ID and it answers back a bunch of decorative ornamental fonts. Ridiculous.

Straight up doesn’t even give a suggestion. App should be removed from store. Doesn’t work. Super sketchy terms agreement page that loads in a web browser within the app. Zero effort given.

I read the reviews and thought I’d try it anyway. After loading the app, I typed a couple of sentences in Times New Roman font to try out the app. The app DID NOT identify the font. Not even close.

I’ve tried so many times to find out what a font is with this app and it’s never helped.

Every time I take a picture of something, it outlines the words as usual then crashes.. fix this dumb app

Updated, it worked once, tried to crop and redo it and now the app crashes after selecting the image. Tried reinstalling. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This used to be a really good app. Lately it has not been working. Never recognizes any fonts.

At least for my use of trying to identify a font, this app returned results that were useful only in how hilariously off they were. Quilts, 80s video games, quilting stitches and pineapple wing dings were the results for a vaguely Roman plus art nouveau flourishes font (still unknown).

It literally crashes every attempt to proceed past the crop screen.

App is broken. It fails to connect to their serves search after search which is such a waste of time. I used to find this app helpful and would love to see it repaired.

The font app no longer works on my iPhone. I have deleted and readded the app and have tried online on desk top and it doesn’t work there either. Need to please fix errors. Loved this app before when making shirts for customers!

Used to use this app religiously, but now it doesn’t work. Keeps saying it “can’t reach server.” Have deleted and redownloaded to no avail.

No matter how your crop, it keeps telling you "no font found" or try to crop one frame, etc. Waste of time. Uninstalling it...

I’ve been trying to use this app multiple times over the past couple of weeks. Every time I try to scan a font it says it can’t connect to server. Rescanning or uploading images gives me the same result.

I mean it’s free so try it, but this app has never done the one thing it’s supposed to do. Longtime MyFonts user here but this tool is broken.

I love this app and I would pay money to get someone to support it.

Thus worked fine last time I tried it (months ago). Now, it just searches endlessly once I select a font from the font picture it displays. Been trying different fonts for a week with zero luck. IOS 17.3 on iPhone 14 Pro.

I do trophy engraving, so I downloaded this app for work to match fonts with previous jobs or customer requests. For a little while it worked okay, bringing up maybe one or two approximate matches and a whole lot of for-purchase options. Not perfect, but worked well enough most of the time. Recently, however, it simply doesn’t work. Either I’ll get an error message, or the entire area of the screen goes black

I have used this app before but it no longer works. It mostly just shows the picture of the font and the word it thinks it is. Never shows any fonts. This app used to be awesome but now it is useless so I have deleted it. If you ever fix it I will gladly download it again

I have loved this app for years. But recently I can’t get results for anything. It says it can’t connect to servers or just gives me a blank screen for the results. Please fix it! I’m happy to give it 5 stars once it’s fixed.

I used to use this app all the time. Now it will not even show the results. Very sad.

Hasn’t ID’d any fonts for me yet. I even took a screenshot of the photo of the app allegedly ID’ing a font, and it couldn’t find that font either

Could never “reach server” after multiple attempts

Used to use this almost daily, now it just gives a black screen when loading up possible fonts. Useless.

Love the app it helps me every time but recently the app was sent responding and it stays in a state of pause. Nothing happens.

This app has been failing lately and I’m not sure why. If this app not being updated or supported? Sad cause this app use to work flawlessly. Please help this app so I can give it back the 5 stars it deserves.

This app hasn’t worked in six months. If you aren’t going to fix it, shut it down completely!

The app is not working. Perhaps an update is needed? I’d give 5 stars, because normally it works. But it hasn’t since the beginning of the year.

This app is suddenly not responding at all, or giving a message that the servers cannot be contacted. Is there an update available to fix this?

This app seems completely dead. It won’t provide font suggestions or results anymore. Says “finding fonts…” and then provides a blank screen. App hasn’t been updated in 3 years.

Who even “coded” this? I hope that they didn’t quit their day job…. 🤣 Worst ever. Not functional. And it just kicks you out to their website and wants you to spend $100 for a font that doesn’t even remotely match what you’re looking for. Epic trash.

I tried it on my ipad and my laptop - it did not work, even when testing it with a very common font.

I’ve used this for years and loved it. I no longer get any results. 🤨
